It's been a while, I know. Apologies.

I spent my time off becoming addicted to House. And I am now seriously addicted. And hey, it takes a long time to get through 2 and a half seasons of a show. Not entirely sure what else I've been doing - something meaningless and not worth mentioning, I'm sure :)

So for the past few days, I've been sick. Last Thursday was reported to have the most snow in a decade or so and I missed it, because I was sick. Didn't go out once. And if you live in England, you'll know that snow isn't exactly a regular occurence. How's that for suckiness?

Anyway, I'm very bored. I missed the last three days off school and now I've got a whole more week. And I'm bored. Sounds insane, because I love waking up late and whatever, but I'm broke and sick, so I'm officially bored. I even made cookies today (shortbread, with currents and a hint of cinnamon). I never bake, unless I truly have nothing else to do. They taste pretty good, but I overcooked them a little and I've made better.

Is it weird that I'm a terrible cook, but I can bake? With my lil brother, it's the other way around - he can cook but not bake. Together we could rule the world.... -_-'

Long Time, No See

So I haven't updated in a while - same old excuse of school getting in the way. I probably haven't updated in about 2 weeks or something, but for me that is a long time. I'm pathetic.

Not much has happened. I bought some DVDs, went out a couple of times, continue on my quest to become Head Girl next year (not necessarily because I want to, but because it will look good on Uni applications) and I'm broke. Same old, same old.

Yesterday was a pretty busy day. Basically, I went to see a matinee performance of Wicked and then went for a meal with a couple of friends I hadn't seen in a while. We finished the meal so early that we ended up all going back to Alex's house and watched Prime. Mainly because I said that Brian Greenberg was hott. Still, we enjoyed it.

Wicked was incredible. One of the best I've seen, without a doubt. It was just so damn good. I went right out and bought The Wizard of Oz on DVD (I'm so weak).

My New York fund is once again down to zero. I guess I blame January sales. But all I know is I have to put away £60 a month for about 1 and a half years to even come close to being able to afford a trip up there. I believe in myself...

Arrested Development is the greatest show ever. End of. I mean, I always liked it, but I just bought the first season on DVD. Best. Show. Ever. Seasons 2 and 3 are on there way as I type :)

I got my provisional driving liscence application form. All I need is a passport size photo and my passport details and I'll be ready to send it off and start learning to drive. Yay. I got really creeped out though - on the form it asks whether you want to be an organ donor, should you die. I always knew that I was going to be one (no point being selfish when your dead), but it still really creeped me out. The thought of death is so scary. Mostly because the whole live for the moment thing is impossible for me right now, when all I'm concentrating on is getting straight A's on my A levels and going on to study Law at Oxford (that's the dream, people)...I have no time to be living life to the fullest. Not to mention that everything I want to do in my life requires me to be an adult with money. One day though. I have a nice long list of places I want to go, things I want to see and do. And I'll do them - I'm pretty good at making stuff happen like that. I just know that now is not the right time. The whole trip to NYC thing I'm making happen. I'm making it happen so soon because I'm trying to live life to the fullest. Going to New York has always been my biggest dream. Some people say they'd love to go, but I have at least 10 huge pictures of the city over my bedroom walls (that's about all I can fit), not to mention a New York calender. Plus everytime anyone mentions it, I'm told I make a stupid sighing sound. I'm pathetic and obsessed. And I don't care. I just want to go.

So you see, I can't die just yet. Still, I said that, if I did die, they could take everything except my eyes (because that's just creepy).

That's about all I can think of right now. I'll try and catch up with my FL as soon as possible - don't hate me for ignoring you :)

So I've been ill. It's winter time - you're kind of expected to get a cough and a cold. That's how it works. Or maybe it's just me - I have a pretty weak immune system for stuff like that -_-'

Not much to update on. Had an awesome christmas - got some really good stuff (Veronica Mars S2, The Office US S1, Guitar Hero II, Singstar, a Rolling Stones top, £50, The Emporer's New Groove, a tonne of make-up to name a few) and had a LOT to eat, hehe. Just as christmas should be. There were only 22 people at are family Christmas day (not like the 29 last year)...I have a large, very close family.

Currently watching the best Muppet moments. I <3 Kermit :)

Yup, so I've been at home watching tv in my pyjamas for a couple of days straight. Just spent my £50 on the entire Sex and the City series. Trying to get hold of The Office US S2. Saving up for the complete Office UK series (including specials).

I have a slight addiction.

My DVD collection currently stands at around 120...pretty good for a sixteen year old girl...with no job...who bought basically every DVD herself...over around 2 years. Lol. Basically, if I weren't addicted to buying DVDs I would have a lot of money...or a lot of other stuff by now :)

So, Monday was our Carol Concert...went alright, I suppose. There's one song that our choir had to sing that just...it was so embarrasing. For some idiot reason I was singing soprano and we were supposed to hit a high G. Yeah, a G. Every time the G cam closer I just shut up and stopped singing. Other people weren't so smart, however and so right in the middle of the song, instead of a note all that could be heard was this horrible screech of sopranos attempting to reach that blood note.

Apart from that, we did well. We rocked 'In The Bleak Midwinter' as well :)

Moving on.

Today has probably been one of the most stressful days of my...month? Winter? School Year? I don't know, but I was stressed. It was the party for St. Johns kids - these kids all have special needs and I've been organising the decorations of the hall for a couple of months now. I did have a co-leader of the committee, but she got run over last week. Damn cars. Bad shit always happens to me. Obviously, she couldn't help, so I was left to organise the whole hall. And build a grotto for Santa. Man oh man, the only reason that grotto got built is because I shouted at my friends until they helped.

This post isn't making me sound too good. Whatever, I was stressed, lol. Still, it all came together and my Santa's grotto rocked, if I do say so myself. Plus, some little kid came up to me and asked for a cuddle. And then he kissed my head. Cutest thing EVER.

So, I have one period of Statistics tomorrow and then we break up from school until the 8th. Yay for holidays <3

Lol, I get that the ads look totally retarded on my lj layout, but I'm trying not to care. I miss having plus. Basic is just too...basic, lmao and I can't afford a paid account. If only you could customise the size of the ads that appear on your page, it wouldn't look as bad. Alas...

So I just watched the first episodes of 24 and Prison Break. Dammit, they're good. I have a serious thing about 1-hour American Dramas...I tried explaining to the American-hating friends that I have that I do in fact, generally prefer American tv to British. They called me a traitor ;)

Lol, for the record, I don't hate Americans. I hate the American government. Somehow I doubt I'm alone in that.

I do think that there is some good British tv - anything with Ricky Gervais in generally good (The Office and Extras in particular). Have I Got News For You is a favourite. Also, classic sitcoms like Blackadder and Fawlty Towers....The British made Bridget Jones and Love Actually. Jimmy Carr is British.

But seriously. I'm addicted to American 1 hour dramas. They're just so damn good. In my humble opinion, that is. I mean, I have to watch them all on the internet, because I'm too impatient to wait for them to come out in England. Plus I hate being behind and then finding out what's gonna happen on the net -_-'

My brother went away to Wales last Sunday with the school and he just came back.
Which is sucky, because I've enjoyed being by myself at home - peaceful :)

Anyway, he met Jimmy Carr on the way home in Oxford St. Totally unfair - I LOVE Jimmy Carr. I'm pretty sure he's on Jonathon Ross tonight :) So, he and his friends went up to him and had a conversation - he told them a joke. I'm just so jealous, lol.

So, I was watching the news the other day (rare occurence - I generally stick to TDS and American news *shrugs*) and there was a clip of Prince William & Prince Harry talking about the concert they're holding in memory of their mother. Now, as much as I dislike the British Monarchy, I couldn't help but notice...William is seriously hott. Or is it just me?
I dunno...but that's what I noticed.

Also, had an argument about prostitutes with my mum - weird conversation, I gotta say. Spurred on by the mass murders in...I wanna say Surrey....

Give me a break. I'm tired.

So, for my birthday I'm having a karaoke party. I understand that my birthday is 25th March, but that doesn't mean I can't start planning. I guess I just love making a fool out of myself. Karaoke is awesome.

Am about to watch the first episode of 24 - I've never seen it before and I'm bored so...thought I'd take a look.

I'm so glad it's the weekend. I want to try and finish my christmas shopping tomorrow (highly unlikely, given that I have no actual money) and I finally get to sleep. School tires me out - I've been doing so many extra-curricular activities, because I need my Uni applications to look good for next year.

I'm aiming for Oxford. Or any other top law schools in England, I guess. I haven't really researched enough yet. I know you need a majority of A's in your GCSEs and basically all A's in A Levels (I got 5 A*s, 4 A's and a C in GCSE) ... and work experience and...I dunno. I'm scared. And I'm only in year 12. I hate big, life-changing events. Seriously.

I miss my tv shows - they've all gone on christmas breaks.
I'm getting used to firefox....and I still have yet to post my soul on ebay.

Friday
Pretty good day. Our History text book described Trotsky as "Flamboyant" (read: gay) We had a lengthy conversation about this, teehee - my His. Teacher rocks, lol. We were discussing the possibility of a gay, Russian leader (and also, Scrabble). Also, the word "jewishness" was in the text book, which our class (of 8 people including the teacher) had to look up, lol.
Turns out that not only is "jewishness" a word, but "jewly" is as well.
He did it jewly.
Lol, I know, our History class is dorkily wierd :)

Saturday
Decorations went up. Me and my mum went around the shops for ages trying to find a gold star to put on the top of the tree. You would not believe the lack of xmas decs there are in shops.

Sunday
More shopping - I spent about £65 on christmas presents and I'm still not finished. Lol.

Monday
P!nk Concert <3 So great - it was, apparently, the biggest gay and lesbian event in the UK. Haha, half way through the show, some woman grabbed my hand. Gotta say it kinda freaked me out and I jumped back, lol. It was really fun - we waited in queue from 2.00pm till 6.30, when the doors opened and then when we got in, there was no supporting act, just a DJ until 9.30, when P!nk actually came on. It's Wednesday and I still can't speak because of all the shouting I did - I swear, whenever there was no one shouting, I would scream or something just to make noise (and then everyone else would scream, it was awesome). Her set was incredible :)

Tuesday
Missed school morning because I was too tired to get up - which meant I missed a maths mock. Would be great, but it means I have to do it tomorrow.

Today
I'm cold. Very cold. It's just been a cold day. I had 2 classes cancelled so I only had to be in for one period - so great. Apparently I'm going to a party on Friday. Would be great if it wasn't being held by one of my lesbian friends. Who's on all sorts of drugs. What fun is a party full of lesbians, lol. Who are doing drugs, no less -_-' I need to get some friends who aren't constantly drugged up, really, don't I?
Ah well. I don't plan to stay there for long at all. Nor do I plan to get drunk, as I'm currently on pain killers (mild ones, but still, I have to get home on Friday...)
Still cold. And I have a whole lot of Business studies homework to do *yawn*. Also have to revise for the maths mock.

Life is still dull, but hectic - still organising the christmas party for St. John's School for Special Needs. I would be head of decorations, which is invariably the biggest part of the preparation. Plus I have the School Carol Concert Rehersals and COmmunity Service twice a week and my aerobics class which goes towards my Duke of Edinburgh award. Plus homework. I'm tired. And cold.

I've been lazy and haven't posted for a while, but I gotta say, there hasn't really been alot to post about. My life is dull. I know it. I go to school. I come home. I watch TV. I go to the gym. I shop. If I have enough money I go to the cinema (though I never do).

I haven't been motivated enough to make any kind of icons or anything. And I still have to get my fanlistings up. I should do that. I also have to tidy my room up. I bought this adorable little pink christmas tree from New Look and I can't put it up on my desk, because my clothes are busy cluttering it. I have a couple of cheap lights to decorate the tree as well :)

I also bought heart shaped christmas lights to stick up in my room...somewhere. I need to get my Dad to put up some nails so that I can put up my many pictures that I have bought. I also need frames for the artwork I've bought. Seriously, I think I'm a decoration freak. I wanna get a nice big scrapbook as well...what for, I don't know, but I plan to scrapbook something.

Also in the process of loading christmas songs onto my mp3 player - I'm kinda ashamed that I'm so late. Yes, I am a complete christmas freak. You don't know the half of it X)

Also just gave my Mum my christmas list this year. It includes Guitar Hero II and a couple of SingStar Games. Plus Veronica Mars Season 2. :)
Yeah, this year I decided that rather than te usual 'buy me DVDs', I took more of a 'I would like PS2 games' route. My brother just bought an XBOX 360, so he no longer uses our jointly-owned PS2 - he used to hog it (not that I ever had any games other than 'Pop Idol' and 'Simpson's Road Rage'), so now I can actually play it, I'm asking for awesome, music-related games. Perfect.

Being the DVD-freak I am, I have of course, included a couple of DVD Boxsets etc.

I think I have around 140 DVDs - all bought about a year and a half ago. I've spent a lot of money, teehee.

Just think how many DVDs I'll have when I'm older and it's not weird for me to subscribe to Empire (THAT's what I meant to do this month - subscribe. I'm an idiot)

Ok, hope you understood that rambling or whatever.

BTW - the new punk-rock christmas album owns, as far as I can tell. Also, the brand new Nightmare Before Christmas album, with covers from Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco = also completely awesome.
I particularly like Fall Out Boy's 'What's This'. Pete Wendtz = God.

Saying 'Happy Holidays' is weird for me, because I've always attended Catholic Schools. However, now my year is full of all sorts of people with different religions and I'm gonna need to find some 'Happy Holidays' cards. I hope there are some cute ones...

Yeah, I'd describe my day as 'eh'. I really don't know. I've been expecting the Veronica Mars S1 DVD I bought to come for about two weeks now....and I'm not the most patient person (ok, understatement of the century), so I'm annoyed. Also, I've been desperately trying to get my hands on the new Rolling Stones issue - even had WH Smiths keep me notified. I got a call from the shop yesterday saying the new issue was in. I rushed to the shop after school, only to find out that they had some random issue that didn't have Jon or Stephen on it...rather some random cartoon -_-'

Then I got home, got ready for my gym class and...well, I fell down the stairs. Right from the top to the bottom. It hurt like hell. Unfortunately, had to miss my class because I was feeling slightly dizzy and sick. So now I'm achy and my arms have carpet burn. And there's no Jon and Stephen. Or VM.

The good part of the day was....uh....well I saw the last LOST episode before the hugely long break. Great episode...actually, not good because now I have till wait till Feb. for the next part. Seriously, I'm bad at waiting. It's just not my thing.

And I just got an e-mail saying that my VM DVD has just been dispatched. From FLORIDA. It's gonna take at least another week to come - I mean, bloody hell, this is taking so unbe-fucking-lievably long. Grrr.

Also been having a very stressed week. I'm organising loads of things in school right now - a christmas card sceme, decorations for a christmas party for kids with learning disabilities and I'm also trying to keep on top of my Duke of Edinburgh award, which requires me to do a certain amount of community service and various activites every week. Plus I have unbelievable amounts of homework, extemely painful RSI in my back and all the while I'm trying to make sure I go to the gym at least 3 times a week. It's so stressful right now.

And right now I'm supposed to be doing a nice, long English Lit. essay for tomorrow morning. Death of a Salesman. I hate that play. I'm more of a Shakespeare-type person. Or maybe I should just stick to Maths. I enjoy Maths. Maths is easy. No freaking essays = no effort. Seriously. I'm all out of effort to give. I just did my GCSEs, got 5 A*'s and 4 A's (plus a C, damn Biology). Seriosuly, that took a whole lot out of me. I have nothing left.

Ok, I do. But I'm not quite ready to put tonnes of effort into everything again. I'm just too tired.

TDS/TCR cross-over was so great. I'm so glad Stephen didn't get to let the balloons down :) Go Dems! Haha, but his final bit was brilliant - his poor little driver Sam, hahaha. Stephen Colbert is God. Ok, Jon too. They're joint Gods <3

Jon: What's happening in the South tonight?
Stephen: Well Jon, I think we both know how that swings.
Jon: To the right.
Stephen: It is Bush Country.

Also, as usual, I have a strong sense of impending doom hanging over my head. Why does that never go away? Seriously, it pisses me off.

Well, I'm gonna get back to my English Lit.
